Ramp Difficulty Ratings

Fun Slides has ramps for every skill level — from first-timers who have never tried carpet skating to kids who want a real challenge. Use this guide to figure out where to start and when to level up.

How the Rating System Works

Every ramp at Fun Slides is marked with a difficulty rating. Look for the rating signs on or next to each ramp before you drop in. Start at your level and work up from there — don’t skip ahead until you’re having consistent success where you are.

Beginner

The best starting point for every first-time visitor. Beginner ramps introduce the basics of carpet skating in a low-pressure environment. If it’s your first time at Fun Slides, start here — no exceptions.

Intermediate

Intermediate ramps are for guests who are finding consistent success on the beginner level. This is where balance and technique start to develop. Don’t move up until beginner ramps feel comfortable.

Advanced

Advanced ramps introduce obstacles and challenges that don’t exist at the lower levels. Recommended for guests who are consistently succeeding on intermediate ramps and want to push further.

Expert

The most difficult ramps in the park. Expert ramps feature different angles and obstacles not found at any other level. Not recommended for first-time visitors. Only attempt expert ramps if you’ve fully mastered everything below.

New to Carpet Skating?

All first-time skaters are assigned a skate instructor when they arrive. Your instructor stays with you until you’re comfortable and ready to explore the park on your own. Nobody is expected to figure it out alone on their first visit.

Start on the beginner ramps, listen to your instructor, and go at your own pace. Most kids are sliding confidently within a few minutes.
