What is carpet skating?
Carpet skating uses special plastic skates that strap over shoes and allow guests to glide across carpet-covered ramps and surfaces.
What ages are best for Fun Slides?
Our parties are most popular for kids ages 4–13. With multiple activity zones including ramps, dodgeball, ninja course, bounce houses, and arcade games, guests of all ages stay engaged.
Do kids need skating experience?
No experience is required. Most kids learn the basics within a few minutes.
Where is Fun Slides located?
Fun Slides Carpet Skatepark is located just outside Pittsburgh and serves families throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. 1130 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh PA (Located in Pines Plaza).
Can I bring outside food or cake?
You are welcome to bring your own birthday cake. Some outside snack items may be permitted. Contact us for details and current policy.
Do you wear shoes at Fun Slides?
Yes. All skaters are required to wear shoes in the skatepark. Fun Slides fit up to size 13 mens.
Can I bring my own decorations, plates, or cups?
Yes, within reason. Decorations are included in most of our parties, or you can add our ‘black light party’ option to your party package. Items like silly string, confetti, and wall or ceiling decorations are not permitted. If you are unsure, please call 412-364-9400.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my party?
Please notify Fun Slides directly by calling 412-364-9400. If you cancel within 14 days prior to your party, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
Is there a charge to watch my child skate?
Parent admission is $12. For more information, visit our hours and pricing page. Waiver is required, and you are not permitted to skate without paid skate pass.
Are reservations required for public skate times?
No, you do not need a reservation when you skate during Public Skate times.
Is Fun Slides better than a trampoline park for parties?
Many parents choose Fun Slides because we offer structured hosting, multiple activity options, and a more organized experience. Our dedicated party hosts manage the flow so parents are not left coordinating everything themselves.
Does Fun Slides offer hourly pricing?
No. Fun Slides offers session-based and all-day play admission options, rather than hourly pricing. Visit our Hours and Pricing page for more info.
How far in advance should I book a birthday party?
Weekend dates fill quickly, especially during school breaks and winter months. We recommend booking several weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time.
Do Fun Slides parties include a dedicated host?
Yes. Every birthday party includes a dedicated party host who manages your event from start to finish. They welcome guests, keep the party on schedule, serve food and cake, and handle cleanup so you can relax and enjoy the day.
Can I order extra pizza for my party?
Yes, you order through us. Give us a call at 412-364-9400 and we’ll add it onto your party .
Can I bring my own cake or cupcakes?
Yes. We will provide plates, forks and napkins. You will need to also bring candles.
Can I bring other food or drink items to my party?
In addition to cake or cupcakes, if you are ordering pizza, vegetable trays are allowed to be brought in.
Can I bring other food or drink items to public skate?
No outside food or drinks are permitted. We have a snack bar, pizza, and other items for purchase.
