First Visit Guide

Know Before You Go

A few things to know before your visit — so your family arrives ready to have fun.

What to Wear

Closed toe shoes are required. Sneakers are the best option. Sandals, flip flops,
clogs, crocs, and open toe shoes are not allowed on the skate floor. If a family member shows up without closed toe shoes, they won’t be able to skate. Comfortable clothing that allows movement is recommended — think athletic wear or anything easy to move in. Socks are a good idea. Helmets are included with every admission pass, so nothing extra needed there.

Sign Your Waiver Before You Arrive

Everyone who enters the park and participates in activities must have a completed waiver on file. There are no exceptions. Guests under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign. Adults 18 and over can sign their own. Waivers can be completed online before you arrive — this is the fastest way through check-in. Signing ahead saves time at the door and means kids can get into skates faster.

What’s Included With Admission

Every admission pass covers special Fun Slides plastic skates that strap right over your shoes, helmet rental, full access to all Xtra Activities, and a skate instructor for all first-time skaters. They’ll stay with your child until they’re comfortable and ready to explore on their own. Fun Slides skates fit up to size 13 mens.

When You Arrive

No reservation needed for public skate — just show up during open hours. It helps to arrive a few minutes before you want to start skating. Getting waivers checked, skates fitted, and helmets sorted takes a little time, and arriving early means kids aren’t waiting around when they’re ready to go. Check current hours before heading out — schedules can change for private events and holidays.

Visiting With Younger Kids (Ages 4 and Under)

The Butt Slide N’ Bounce pass ($12.00) is designed for guests ages 4 and under. It includes access to the butt slides and bounce houses — both built with younger kids in mind. Younger kids are also welcome in the beginner-friendly skating areas with a parent or guardian present.

Safety Rules

Fun Slides staff are on the floor throughout your visit. First-time skaters get a dedicated instructor. Follow staff directions — they’re there to keep things moving and keep everyone safe.
Always do this:
● Have a signed waiver completed before entering the skatepark
● Wear closed toe shoes
● Check the ramp’s difficulty rating before attempting it
● Wait your turn to go down the ramps
● Stay aware of other skaters around you
● Ask staff for help if you need it
● If you’re going to fall, put your hands in front of you — not behind
● Let staff know if you see someone breaking the rules
Never do this:
● Climb up the ramps — use the steps on the side
● Sit or lay on the ramps while other skaters are coming down
● Wear Fun Slides skates in the bathroom
● Bring food or gum inside the skatepark
● Push other skaters
● Attempt a ramp above your skill level
● Try unfamiliar tricks before you’re ready
● Bully or make fun of other skaters

Food & Snacks

Fun Slides has a snack bar with pizza, drinks, and other food items available for purchase during your visit. Outside food and drinks are not permitted for public skate visits. Birthday cake and cupcakes are permitted for birthday parties. If you have dietary restriction needs for drinks, call (412) 364-9400 before your visit to confirm what’s allowed.
