Fundraiser Venues in Pittsburgh: An Easier Way for Local Groups to Raise Money

Fundraiser Venues in Pittsburgh: An Easier Way for Local Groups to Raise Money

If your group’s last fundraiser involved a garage full of cookie dough and a running list of who still owes money, you already know the catch. Product fundraisers ask a lot of your volunteers and your families, and the payout rarely matches the effort. More Pittsburgh PTAs, booster clubs, and youth groups are skipping the sales pitch and hosting an event night instead — one where families show up, have a good time, and the group still comes out ahead. If you’re weighing where to hold that kind of night, here’s what to look for in a fundraiser venue, and how one local option makes the whole thing simple.

What to Look for in a Pittsburgh Fundraiser Venue

When you’re choosing where to host, a few things separate an easy night from a headache. The best fundraiser venues do the heavy lifting for you, give families a real reason to come, and make your earnings easy to predict.

Low Effort for Your Volunteers

A good venue handles staffing, setup, and cleanup so your team isn’t running the event on top of promoting it. That leaves your group with one main job — spreading the word — instead of coordinating every detail on the night of.

Something Families Actually Want to Attend

Turnout drives your total, and families will always show up for a night they’re excited about faster than they’ll buy a product they didn’t really want. Pittsburgh weather doesn’t do outdoor plans many favors from November through March either, so an indoor venue that works rain, snow, or shine keeps your date safe no matter what the forecast does.

How a Fun Slides Fundraiser Works

Fun Slides is a 35,000-square-foot indoor blacklight carpet skatepark on Perry Highway in the North Hills. Instead of selling anything, your supporters come out for a night of skating and activities, and a share of every admission goes straight back to your group.

The Offer

Fundraiser admission is $20 per person for a two-hour pass to the whole park — carpet skating, blacklight dodgeball, the ninja course, carpet hockey, Nerf War Zone, bounce houses, butt slides, and the arcade. Skate and helmet rentals are included. At $20, that’s $2.50 less than a regular two-hour visit, so supporters actually pay less than a normal trip while your group earns.

How Your Group Gets Paid

Your organization earns $10 from every $20 admission. Guests just mention your fundraiser at the front desk when they arrive so their visit counts toward your total. The day after your event, the team tallies the results and mails a check to your group. Fundraisers run Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM, and families can arrive any time in that window for their two-hour session.

See What Your Group Could Raise

Wondering whether the numbers work for your group? Our new fundraiser earnings estimator lets you enter how many supporters you expect and see a rough total in seconds — no guessing, no math on a napkin. Try it here: https://funslidespark.com/parties/fundraiser-calculator/

As an example, if 60 supporters each buy a $20 admission, that’s $600 back to your group from a single night. Your real total depends on turnout, which is exactly why getting the word out early makes such a difference.

We Help You Promote It
